Finn's Second ER Visit
And he's only 2 1/2 years old.
Nothing too dramatic. Just spun around too quickly, and tripped over my feet (of all things!). He hit his head on a hard surface and split his forehead, just above his left eye brow.
He's fine... he actually seemed quite proud of his "owie", and doesn't seemed bothered by it today at all.
When we came home from the Hospital Ollie ran into the kitchen saying, "Finn, you brake your head?!"

We love the Washington Coast
W. We think it's just fine that the Oregon Coast gets all the fuss over its beaches and its haystacks. Because for us, that just means less people on the less heralded yet more pristine and more beautiful Washington Coast. Last weekend we packed up the kiddos, hitched our 1960 Shasta Airflyte to the back of the truck, and headed out to go explore the furthest NW reaches of the continental U.S. It was spectacular (and the kids loved it).
Here are some fun pictures from the trip. We camped on the north shore of Lake Ozette in the Olympic National Park, and from there took fun day trips hiking out to Cape Flattery (the northwestern most point in the lower 48) and playing on Shi Shi beach, the northen most beach of Olympic National Park. We also hit some fantastic tidal pools at Salt Creek/Cresent Beach on the Straight of Juan de Fuca.
