Welcome Home!
D: Yesterday morning we took the boys over to their grandparents house... and we didn't even have to get on an airplane! That's right, their Nana and Grandpa are now living close enough to easily enjoy a Saturday morning with their grandkids any time they'd like.
My mother first mentioned the idea of moving out here from MN the very first time she held the Deuce, just a few days after they were born. Since then the two of them have been busily planning their west coast migration and last week they finally arrived.
We could not be more excited to have family in town and closer to the children. Both W and I feel it is incredibly important that the boys have close relationships with all of our parents. It certainly is a special kind of relationship that forms between a grandchild and their grandparent. I so look forward to the boys being able to spend time with family close by... and of course continue to look forward to planning visits with our family living far away!

that's so great! it is wonderful having your parents close. dylan asks for his nanny and pop pop everyday. where did they move to?
enjoy having them here!
what a wonderful thing for you and your family. i have a multi-generational household and my parents have seen the boys every day of their lives with the exception of a few travel times here and there. it feels so amazing to have the support and love and they are amazed every day to be part of their lives. again, what an awesome thing!
Wonderful to have Grandparents close. My Mom moved away right before I had the twins. We laugh about all the time. Love the pictures on your blog. Many Blessings.
yay for grandparents moving to town! isn't it the best?!?! so funny that your mom coincided with my MIL moving to austin. hope they are quickly getting settled and have a few beautiful days before the dreary weather stays for the season.
also, i read your post about the dance class. that really bites. i started taking the boys to gymboree music class and the gym class a few weeks ago and they LOVE IT! i have had no problem managing both of them; i think it's the way they have things structured. i tried art as well, and it worked out great, but i was a little frazzled by the end trying to chase down two kids with paint flying everywhere.
good luck!
