Walk this Way

D: F took is first few steps with W a few days ago. Apparently he was fixated on the toy he had in his hand and was unaware of his forward mobility that ensued. He took 4 steps.

Last night W and I were both in the room when we saw a very determined boy take a few steps forward, this time with purpose. His posture was perfect...knees bent slightly, hips locks, and arms out to his sides as if he were surfing. It was beautiful. And boy was he proud of himself when he heard his parents’ cheers! It was only 10 minutes later that he attempted it again with several more steps.

Yes sir, our little boy is on the move. It won't be long before his brother catches on and they both become bona fide two wheelers.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the best Christmas present of all this year... After over a year of service overseas, my little brother returned home from Iraq on December 23rd. Welcome home, buddy. We love you!

Congrats on your brother returning back from Iraq! I also have identical twin boys (17 months) and wish that I made a blog. I did write down milestones on paper that I have somewhere! The fun times are about to begin with them walking! I havn't read all of your blogs, but did come across the 1st ER trip. It is so hard to keep them out of things, and right now when you tell them don't or stop they just laugh, they are just begining to understand what it really means now. I came real close over Christmas to bringing one in to the dr. for hitting his head. When they start walking, they hit themselves on everything, but his head did not feel right. I called and they told me that if he is eating and acting normal, just watch him, and after a week, he was fine. What a blessing and joy they are, congrats and good luck! Kristen
